This year the organisers of the Avalon International Airshow significantly increased the amount of space dedicated to General Aviation and invited owner groups to attend.

On relatively short notice we sent out the call to get some of aircraft on display. Initially it was looking promising to have up to five aircraft in attendance but weather, work commitments and other factors conspired against three of them.

We wish to thank Lee Stanley (XVV) and Ross McBride (CNO) for getting their aircraft to Avalon to promote the Association and the Victa/AESL Airtourer.

The Association was given a generous amount of marquee space in the GA precinct surrounded by a variety a fast jets, a P8, Wedgetail and KC30. The organisers looked after us really well with plenty of passes to attend the event, camping facilities if needed airside vehicle escorts to set up and car parking very close to the entrance. We also featured on the event web site.

Our display was manned at various times by Lee, Ross, Andrew Clement, John and Rebecca Day, Gerry Pels and Monique and Jon Pels. Special thanks should go to our Secretary Monique for doing a lot of coordination to get the aircraft there and assist owners in the registration process.
